What happens if it rains or the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Safety is our top priority. If the forecast calls for rain, strong winds, or severe weather, we’ll work with you to reschedule your event. Flexible rain dates can be arranged at the time of booking to give you peace of mind.
How much space do I need for the setup?
Our inflatable screens come in various sizes to fit different spaces. As a rule of thumb, you’ll need a flat, open area (such as a backyard, gym, park, or parking lot) with enough room for the screen, projector, sound system, and seating. We’ll help you determine the right setup for your location.
Do you provide power, or do I need to?
We typically plug into a standard electrical outlet within 100 feet of the setup area. For larger events or remote locations without power, we can provide a generator for an additional fee.
Do I need a movie license?
For private backyard events with family and close friends, a license usually isn’t required. However, for public or community events, most films require a public performance license. We’ll guide you through the process and connect you with the right licensing provider.
How long does setup and tear-down take?
Setup usually takes about 60–90 minutes, depending on screen size. After the event, our crew quietly tears everything down in about an hour, leaving your space as we found it.
Can I use streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime?
Streaming services are licensed for personal, in-home use only. For public events, you’ll need to secure the proper license for the film you want to show. For private events, you may use your own streaming account if your internet connection is strong enough.
How late can we show movies?
We recommend starting your event at dusk, when the sun has set and the picture is at its brightest. Local noise ordinances may apply for late-night events, so it’s always best to check your city or neighborhood guidelines.
Do you stay during the event?
Yes! A trained Firefly Cinema technician stays on-site the entire time to run the equipment, troubleshoot if needed, and make sure your movie night goes off without a hitch.
